Magna Powertrain was invited to the 14th Transmission Symposium China, which is China's most influential automotive drivetrain technology event. The event took place August 8-9, in Qingdao, one of the most beautiful coastal cities in northern China. MPT delivered two technical speeches and displayed our advanced technologies. More than 1000 professional delegates attended the event.

This year’s symposium focused on hybrid and eDrive technology topics. We presented on our DHD Duo, a two e-machine solution that allows the drivetrain to operate in all modes: electric, serial, and parallel. The DHD Duo was developed in a platform approach with a scalable number of gears to meet B- to E-segment vehicles, including SUVs. In a great team effort, the speech was given by MPT’s Dr. Wang Jian, Advanced Engineering and Functional Engineering Director, and prepared by Dr. Ulrich Knoedel, Deputy General Manager, MPJ.

This event was also a major achievement on Magna Powertrain’s electrification journey, as we showed off our eBeam and DHD Duo displays in China for the first time.

With four brand-new and advanced touch panels, our booth provided an interactive and digital experience to visitors, which attracted great attention and made our booth the most crowded one during the event.
